Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have resolved their legal battle over allegations of misconduct during the production of 'It Ends With Us.' The settlement concludes a year-long litigation process, bringing an end to accusations, counterclaims, and a potential civil trial initially slated for May.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached a settlement in their lawsuit concerning the 2024 romantic drama, 'It Ends With Us,' thus avoiding a scheduled civil trial in May. The lawsuit, initiated by Lively, revolved around allegations of sexual misconduct by Baldoni.
The joint statement, which did not disclose the settlement terms, aims to provide closure after a year of litigation that garnered substantial media coverage. Lively claimed that the film's production fostered a sexually charged environment, leading to alleged harassment, defamation, and privacy violations.
Baldoni, who directed and starred in the film, filed counterclaims against Lively, alleging defamation by her and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. The court dismissed several claims, and despite the controversy, the movie achieved over $351 million in global box office earnings.
