Renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is set to direct a groundbreaking docu-drama series titled 'Temple Raiders.' Focusing on the theft and international trafficking of India's sacred temple artefacts, this four-part series was announced by producers on Wednesday.
The series is a collaboration between Tudip Entertainment, Riverland Entertainment, and Gowariker's own production house. Raghav Khanna, celebrated for his work on 'The Elephant Whisperers' and 'The Mumbai Mafia,' is the driving force behind the script and will serve as the show's runner.
'Temple Raiders' marks Gowariker's debut in the documentary-drama arena. Known for his acclaimed hits like 'Lagaan' and 'Swades,' Gowariker expressed his longstanding interest in the documentary format, emphasizing the unique narrative potential of this series.
