The meetings included a comprehensive review covering trade, digital investment, defense, and cultural exchanges. Jaishankar expressed confidence in the future outcomes of these deliberations.
His visit also included cultural acknowledgments, as he paid tribute at the Baba and Mai monument and the Mahatma Gandhi statue, underlining India's historical ties with Suriname. This visit is part of a broader diplomatic tour that includes Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
