As the revered Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra unfolds, an astonishing number of over 33 lakh pilgrims have registered by Wednesday evening, officials report. Kedarnath stands out as the most sought-after site, with 11.68 lakh devotees eager to embark on the holy journey.
Badrinath trails with a close 10.19 lakh registrations, while Gangotri and Yamunotri recorded 5.90 lakh and 5.69 lakh respectively. Hemkund Sahib noted 48,428 pilgrims, pushing the total registration to an impressive 33.96 lakh.
Uttarakhand's physical registration centres are bustling, registering 23,203 pilgrims. Haridwar led with 12,326 offline sign-ups. Rishikesh, Nayagaun, and Herbertpur centres collectively contributed to this surging pilgrim interest, reflecting the spiritual fervor sweeping across the region.
