Kami Rita Sherpa, a renowned mountaineer hailing from Nepal, achieved another groundbreaking record on Sunday by scaling Mt. Everest, the world's tallest peak, for an unprecedented 32nd time.

The veteran climber, aged 56, reached the formidable 8,849-meter summit at 10:12 am, documenting yet another milestone in his distinguished climbing career. The Department of Tourism corroborated his achievement, citing the mountaineer's significant contributions to Nepal's esteemed position in the international mountaineering domain.

Kami, who embarked on his mountaineering journey in 1992, first conquered Everest in 1994. His latest triumph follows his 31st successful ascent in 2025. On the same day, Lhakpa Sherpa, known as the 'Mountain Queen,' also broke her personal record by summiting Everest for the 11th time.
