Mumbai’s AstaGuru auction house launches London office
AstaGuru, a Mumbai-headquartered digital auction house, has launched a UK and Europe hub in London to better serve international clients and the Indian diaspora.
London, May 22 (PTI) AstaGuru, a Mumbai-headquartered global digital auction house, has launched a UK and Europe hub in London this week.
The new South Kensington office of the brand hopes to better serve a growing international clientele and the Indian diaspora that actively participate in the auctions in India.
The UK expansion has been dubbed a significant milestone in the global trajectory of AstaGuru, founded in Mumbai in 2008 as a digital-first model connecting regional art and luxury expertise with collectors worldwide.
''London has always been at the heart of the global art and luxury market,'' said Manoj Mansukhani, Director of Marketing at AstaGuru.
''With a permanent presence here, we are bringing a single, digital-first platform that connects global collectors with exceptional art and luxury. Our clients in the UK and beyond now have local support to engage with curated auctions with transparency and accessibility,'' he said.
''AstaGuru's arrival in London marks a pivotal moment for the European art and luxury market,'' said Laryssa Jesse, Managing Director UK.
''By leveraging our expertise across art, jewellery, watches, and luxury collectibles on a native, digital-first platform, we are making high-value collecting more accessible and transparent for a new generation of global collectors who value data-driven insights, curated excellence, and a seamless client experience,'' she said.
To celebrate its UK launch this week, AstaGuru plans to host a series of private viewings and educational seminars in London over the coming weeks – aimed at both seasoned collectors and new investors looking to diversify their portfolios.
Interested buyers will be able to participate in high-stakes auctions in real-time, backed by detailed digital catalogues and expert consultations.
AstaGuru believes its platform is built for the modern collector, utilising data-driven insights to guide curation and engagement.
It is planning a range of events that will spotlight works by celebrated Indian and international artists and cater to a thriving and increasingly discerning market for heritage jewellery and luxury watches.
The company said its move into the UK market reflects growing international demand for premium art and collectibles, particularly among a new generation of digitally native collectors.
The name AstaGuru is a fusion of the Italian word asta for auction, with the Indian word guru symbolising a dedication to the art of auctioneering. PTI AK GRS GRS.
