Truck Accident Claims Lives of Devotees at Uttar Pradesh Temple

A tragic accident occurred in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh when a truck veered off its path and overturned on devotees at a local temple. The mishap resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including a young child, and left five others injured.

The accident took place as devotees assembled in Milak Chhavi village for a 'sundarkand' recitation at a road-side Hanuman temple. Witnesses recounted the truck, loaded with gravel, hitting a tree and then careening into the temporary tent ('pandal') set up outside the temple, where about 20 to 25 people, including women and children, were gathered.

Akhilesh Bhadauria, Additional Superintendent of Police, reported that the victims were Param Singh, aged 70, Mahipal, aged 42, and a five-year-old boy named Aryaveer, who was visiting his grandparents at the time. The accident left the community in a state of shock, with scenes of panic and distress evident at the site of the incident.

The unfortunate event has shaken the village, and authorities have sent the bodies for post-mortem examinations to ascertain more details. The police urge witnesses to come forward with any information to aid the investigation.
