VHP Raises Concerns Over Cow Slaughter During Eid-ul-Azha

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has raised objections against some members of the Muslim community who support cow slaughter during Eid-ul-Azha, urging respect for the Hindu community's religious beliefs to ensure harmony. Surendra Jain, VHP's central joint general secretary, emphasized the significance of cows, revered as 'Gau Mata' by Hindus.

Jain expressed concerns over ongoing debates that justify cow slaughter, noting that these discussions distress Hindu sentiments. He remarked on the derogatory impact of referring to sacred cows as mere animals and cited past regulations, like the 2017 animal slaughter rules, highlighting issues with enforcement. Stressing anti-cow slaughter laws, Jain urged communities to respect each other's beliefs for peaceful coexistence.
