Bihar to Enhance Eco-Tourism with Tribal Heliports and Homestays

Bihar plans to enhance its tourism sector by establishing heliports in Valmikinagar and Kaimur, which are areas with substantial tribal populations. The initiatives aim to promote eco-tourism and provide new economic opportunities for local communities through a homestay program, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in tribal culture.

During an event highlighting Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026, Choudhary emphasized ongoing state efforts to uplift tribal groups. Scholarship programs have benefited over 1.04 lakh students from marginalized communities. Additionally, model schools are being set up in various blocks, and major development works are being undertaken to improve infrastructure in tribal regions.

Educational support extends further with initiatives like Eklavya schools for Scheduled Tribe students, developed by the central government. Cultural awareness will be fostered through events like marathons with substantial prize money to be held in tribal areas. The educational landscape in tribal areas will also be enhanced with new institutions, including a degree college in the Kaimur hills.
