A television drama that explores the formative years of global pop sensation Celine Dion is reportedly in development, according to Deadline. Tentatively named 'Growing Up Dion', the series is set to offer a dramatized glimpse into the early life of the celebrated singer, with her family's full support for the very first time. Jacques Dion, Celine's brother, is producing the show, which draws inspiration from 'Dion, A Family Saga', a book penned by their nephew, Jimmy Dion.

This eagerly awaited series, to be helmed by showrunner Zoë Green, aims to capture the nuances of Dion's modest upbringing in Quebec. It will spotlight the pivotal role of her mother, Therèse, and the tight-knit nature of her large family of 14 siblings, which collectively shaped her journey to worldwide fame. The project, currently being pitched to international buyers, is represented by Los Angeles-based Diamant Rouge Entertainment.

Renowned as Canada's 'Queen of Power Ballads', Dion stands as one of the most celebrated figures in music history. Despite a temporary hiatus owing to her struggle with Stiff Person Syndrome, Dion is on the cusp of resuming live performances. She announced her eagerly awaited comeback concert series, slated for the fall, during an ornate birthday event in Paris, sending her gratitude to her fans via a video message against the backdrop of the illuminated Eiffel Tower.

In the heartfelt video message, Dion conveyed her gratitude towards her fan base: "Every day, I've felt your prayers, support, and love, helping me through challenges that words cannot describe. I look forward to our reunion in Paris this September," she declared. Her health journey has been poignantly detailed in the 2024 documentary 'I Am: Celine Dion', directed by Irene Taylor, providing a closer look at her battle with the rare Stiff Person Syndrome.
