In a stern condemnation of Pakistan's continuing support for terrorism, BJP national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill asserted that despite grappling with a financial crisis, the neighboring country was still backing terror activities. Shergill emphasized that the Modi government is committed to eradicating this 'addiction' to terrorism, suggesting it was time to administer a 'dose, not a dossier' to Pakistan.

Shergill declared the Modi administration's resolve to alter Pakistan's trajectory by dismantling terror infrastructure while commending India's current strategy of retaliatory action over escalation. He criticized Pakistan's targeting of Indian citizens and insisted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership would ensure long-lasting change.

The security environment was scrutinized during a strategic review meeting led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at South Block following a thwarted large-scale drone assault orchestrated by Pakistan. With top military officials in attendance, the meeting highlighted India's robust defense measures during recent escalations, especially in light of Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as a counteraction to the Pahalgam attack.

The Indian Army, responding to repeated provocations, showcased its preparedness by neutralizing numerous drone threats and ceasefire violations along the Western Border and Line of Control in early May 2025. The indigenously developed Akash surface-to-air missile defense system was notably effective in countering these challenges, underscoring Indian forces' commitment to national sovereignty.

Top defense officials lauded the deployment of the 'Made in India' Akash missile system along critical border areas with Pakistan, affirming its strategic importance to India's defensive operations. The nation's military establishment remains resolute, poised to meet any threat with decisive force.
