The Telangana Government has reacted swiftly to the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan by establishing a 24-hour Control Room at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. This facility aims to provide essential support and information to Telangana residents living in the border states, amid current hostilities at the international border.

According to an official release, several contact options have been made available for distressed citizens. These include a landline and multiple mobile numbers for residents to reach out to key personnel such as the Private Secretary to the Resident Commissioner and the Liaison Officer. The Control Room is set to operate round-the-clock to ensure consistent assistance.

The heightened tension follows India's Operation Sindoor, a decisive strike aimed at neutralizing terrorist infrastructure within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK). In a post-operation briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, alongside senior officials, detailed that nine terror sites were targeted as a response to a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that the attack in Pahalgam intended to disrupt the restoration of normalcy in the region, with the victims experiencing extreme cruelty. He described the deliberate targeting of civilians to convey terror, stressing the importance of India's military response in safeguarding regional stability.

The operation marks India's most extensive military engagement in Pakistan's territory since 1971, with strategic attacks on well-known terrorist training sites, including the infamous Muridke camp, significantly disrupting terror networks.
