In the backdrop of rising India-Pakistan tensions, Telangana Jagruthi president and BRS MLC K Kavitha has urged a deferment of the Miss World pageant planned in the state. Amid Operation Sindoor, the militant strike against terror facilities, she emphasized India's commitment to a moral 'dharma yuddha', stating their actions targeted only terrorist camps without harming civilians.
Kavitha appealed to the state government for wisdom in times of conflict, suggesting the Miss World event be postponed akin to the Indian Premier League suspension. Her comments came after leading a solidarity rally in Hyderabad, honoring M Murali Naik, an Indian soldier who lost his life in border duties.
Operation Sindoor, conducted early on May 7, represents one of India's most profound penetrations into Pakistani territory since 1971, following a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. This operation underscores India's resolve in combating terrorism and marks a significant milestone in military playbook against cross-border terror threats.
