In a decisive move, the Delhi High Court has stepped into the financial dispute involving unpaid arrears and salaries for teachers at Guru Harkrishan Public Schools (GHPS). The court has issued comprehensive directives, blocking the sale, lease, or transfer of key properties totaling 307 acres, in an effort to secure funds for due payments.

The directive mandates that all rental income from GHPS and DSGMC properties must be exclusively used to clear these financial dues. Additionally, the court has frozen the salaries and perks of DSGMC and GHPS Society officials until the teachers' payments are fully settled. Highlighting concerns over inadequate compensation, the court underscored that teachers are currently receiving only a fraction of what is mandated under the 7th CPC guidelines.

A forensic audit revealed partial property detail submissions by GHPS, urging DSGMC to fulfill full disclosure within a week. In a related measure, the court appointed valuer Nitesh Shrivastava aims to appraise property values by September 7, 2025. Legal scrutiny continues, with contempt convictions and show-cause notices for failing to adhere to previous court mandates.
