This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) revealed that 88.39% of students successfully passed the Class 12th examinations, a slight rise from the previous year. Notably, girls outperformed boys with a 91% pass rate, establishing a significant lead.
The examinations for classes 10 and 12 ran from mid-February to early April. A total of over 16 lakh students undertook the 12th-grade exams, with more than 14 lakh passing. Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada boasted the highest success rate, while Prayagraj recorded the lowest pass rate of approximately 80%.
To ensure the exams' integrity, the CBSE enforced strict guidelines, calling for uniforms and early arrival. Items like mobile phones and study aids were strictly prohibited. In Delhi, the Metro Rail offered special measures to assist commuting students, ensuring smooth transit on exam days.
