Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, led the tributes at the wreath-laying ceremony held in Jammu, reflecting the deep respect for Chingakham's bravery. The Director General of BSF and several ranks paid homage, underscoring the collective grief and respect for his sacrifice.
Parallel tributes were paid elsewhere as attention turned to Andhra Pradesh, where Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy planned a visit to express condolences to the family of another fallen soldier, Murali Naik, following a cross-border assault.
