Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani highlighted the manifold health benefits of yoga, urging its incorporation into daily routines. Speaking after a yoga rehearsal session at the Rajasthan Assembly, Devnani lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for elevating yoga to a global platform. His comments come ahead of the 11th International Day of Yoga, slated for June 21.
Meanwhile, Visakhapatnam has been designated as the national venue for this year's celebrations, receiving a thorough inspection and review by high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Ayush and the Andhra Pradesh government. The inspection team, led by Ministry of Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha and State's Special Chief Secretary K Vijayanand, visited key sites like RK Beach and GITAM University, ensuring infrastructure readiness and inter-departmental coordination.
With a focus on community engagement, Andhra Pradesh's 'Yogandhra' initiative aims to incorporate yoga into the daily lives of two crore citizens. The state plans to conduct mass awareness drives and yoga camps, advancing the national goal of turning yoga into a mass movement that unites communities and institutions. As International Day of Yoga approaches, Visakhapatnam is set to exemplify India's commitment to wellness and unity.
