PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has made a fervent appeal to the Indian government to expedite the safe return of Indian students trapped in Iran due to rising tensions with Israel. Expressing the growing anxiety of families, Mufti called on the Ministry of External Affairs to take immediate action on the social platform, X.

According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Embassy in Tehran is diligently working to safeguard Indian students amid the ongoing security crisis. The Embassy is in constant communication with the students, providing essential support and monitoring the volatile situation closely.

Efforts to relocate students to safer areas within Iran are underway, with the Embassy exploring various evacuation strategies. It is also engaging with community leaders to address welfare concerns, underscoring its commitment to Indian nationals in Iran. Meanwhile, Israel launched extensive strikes, targeting multiple military facilities in Iran.
