The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has contacted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the urgent need to evacuate Kashmiri students stranded in Iran due to escalating Iran-Israel tensions. The association expressed deep urgency and concern for hundreds of students facing danger amid unprecedented hostilities between the two nations.

JKSA called on the Prime Minister to instruct External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to implement quick measures to relocate students to safer areas in Iran and initiate evacuation plans. This would bring much-needed relief to distressed families back home, amidst immediate risks and psychological stress, the association noted.

Additionally, the JKSA has requested direct communication channels between Indian students in Iran and the Indian Embassy, along with clear safety information and guidelines. The association urged the formulation of an evacuation plan, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic interventions to ensure students' safe passage and to prevent them from being caught in the conflict's crossfire.
