The company has outlined plans to bring 3-5 GW of these projects online by the fiscal year 2031-32, according to a senior company official.
Notably, THDC India, a subsidiary of NTPC, successfully launched a 1,000 MW pumped storage project at Tehri, Uttarakhand, with the first unit operational this month. These projects provide critical infrastructure for India's renewable energy goals, offering over 40 years of operational life and contributing significantly to the country's energy security and climate objectives.
