Gujarat Bids Farewell to Former CM Vijay Rupani After Tragic Crash

Gujarat is in mourning after the tragic passing of Vijay Rupani, the former Chief Minister, in a plane crash. On Monday, the state paid homage with a dignified farewell to honor his distinguished public service and leadership. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led the state in paying respects, as per official protocols.
The remembrance ceremony, held at the Civil Hospital, saw attendance from numerous political figures and state officials, reflecting on Rupani's integrity and compassion. Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, and others joined in honoring his contribution.
Rupani's final rites were conducted at Ramnathpara crematorium in Rajkot. With comprehensive security in place, DCP Crime Parthraj Singh Gohil ensured smooth proceedings. Meanwhile, the tragic crash also claimed the lives of 241 individuals, including local residents and MBBS students. The lone survivor, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, continues treatment.
