The crash of Air India Flight AI 171, a Boeing Dreamliner 787-8, occurred shortly after its scheduled 1.30 pm take-off on June 12. The plane lost altitude, prompting the pilot to issue a 'mayday' distress signal. Boeing experts are actively participating, after recovering crucial data from the aircraft's black boxes.
