Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, launched a scathing critique of the U.N. nuclear watchdog on Thursday, targeting its chief, Rafael Grossi. Baghaei accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of being complicit in an 'unjust war of aggression' initiated by Israel.
This accusation surfaced in response to Grossi's interview with CNN, where he claimed there was no evidence of a systematic Iranian effort to develop nuclear weapons. Baghaei, however, argued that the IAEA's resolutions were being misused as pretexts by Israel for aggressive actions against Iran.
'Misleading narratives have dire consequences,' Baghaei wrote on X, emphasizing the need for accountability. He accused Grossi of betraying the non-proliferation regime, alleging that the IAEA had become a partner in what he termed an 'unjust war.'
