Upendra Kushwaha, national president of Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Member of Parliament, claimed he received death threats from individuals identifying themselves as associates of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threats, delivered via phone calls and text messages late on Thursday, have been reported to the police, who are now investigating.
Kushwaha detailed to ANI his troubling ordeal, citing repeated calls between 8:52 pm and 9:20 pm from two different numbers, and a chilling deadline for his life. The Patna Senior Superintendent of Police has been informed, and Kushwaha has urged for an immediate investigation and swift action against the accused.
Amid these security concerns, the region prepares for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bihar, beginning June 20. The visit promises significant infrastructure developments, including the inauguration of numerous projects aimed at enhancing the socio-economic landscape, further reinforced by the Prime Minister's efforts towards the Namami Gange project.
