On Friday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia leveled serious accusations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming it is employing government agencies to lodge fictitious cases against opposition members. The former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Sisodia, was summoned by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with an alleged classroom scam in Delhi. He staunchly defended his record, emphasizing the remarkable improvements in education and infrastructure achieved under his leadership.

Sisodia contended that the charges against him are politically driven, perpetuated by the BJP, and vowed to stand firm in his defense before the ACB. He cited BJP MP Manoj Tiwari's allegations related to the case but noted that a defamation suit led to Tiwari securing bail. "Despite BJP's efforts to uncover wrongdoing among our ranks, nothing substantial has surfaced," Sisodia told reporters, accusing the BJP of filing baseless FIRs. He questioned why Tiwari, too, is evading accountability.

According to police sources, the Anti-Corruption Branch has documented statements from around 20 individuals, including engineers, contractors, and Education Department officials, as part of the investigation. A financial anomaly is under scrutiny, involving funds transferred to an architect's account - no architect was formally assigned to the project. The BJP's allegations center on a Rs. 2,000 crore scam implicated in the construction of school facilities in Delhi at inflated prices, prompted by complaints from BJP figures Harish Khurana, Kapil Mishra, and Neelkanth Bakshi.
