In a sharp critique, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi blasted Pakistan's previous proposition of nominating US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize following America's targeted airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. Owaisi's comments came during a public address in Hyderabad, where he questioned Pakistan's support for Trump.
Targeting Pakistan's military leadership, Owaisi sarcastically remarked on their apparent endorsement of Trump. He accused Islamabad of being 'exposed' following the US strikes in Iran, while also criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his actions against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Emphasizing the geopolitical concerns, Owaisi warned of dire consequences for India with over 16 million Indians residing in the region potentially affected by a war. He condemned the narrative around Iran's nuclear capabilities as a distraction, likening it to past justifications used against Iraq.
