The Indian Army's 26 Rashtriya Rifles organized a free medical camp this Monday at Manoo Panchayat in the Chilly Gandoh area of Doda, drawing thousands of residents who eagerly received essential medical services.
On June 22, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi examined the security grid in Kashmir, assessing preparedness for the 2025 Shri Amarnath Yatra. The Chief received a briefing on current operational dynamics and strategic outlook, which included a demonstration on the integration of advanced technologies to optimize decision-making, surveillance, and response strategies. General Dwivedi acknowledged the Chinar Corps soldiers for tirelessly combating terrorism and fostering local stability and development.
Furthering preparations, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Department conducted a Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) simulation drill in Pahalgam. The exercise, coordinated with the Anantnag District Management Authority, included participants from the State Disaster Response Force, National Disaster Response Force, and the Indian Army. This drill is essential for ensuring the safety of over 4.5 lakh pilgrims expected at the Amarnath Yatra.
