In a solemn ceremony in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President VD Sharma commemorated the death anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of the Jana Sangh. The leaders paid floral tributes and reflected on Mookerjee's pivotal role in India's political history.

CM Yadav lauded Dr. Mookerjee's contributions, particularly his opposition to Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Yadav expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for revoking the article, a move aligned with Mookerjee's vision.

BJP President VD Sharma echoed similar sentiments, honoring Mookerjee's sacrifice and determination to unite the nation under one rule. He encouraged BJP members to uphold Mookerjee's legacy and work towards the ideals he championed.
