Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan revealed plans for crop-specific consultations with farmers and stakeholders to tackle productivity hurdles. These meetings, starting with soybeans on June 26 in Indore, aim to boost yield and address distinct crop challenges.
The government previously launched the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, successfully engaging 1.34 crore farmers from across 1.43 lakh villages. This campaign, involving scientists and Krishi Vigyan Kendras, emphasized natural farming and region-specific crop advice.
Chouhan underlined ongoing and future initiatives, including research informed by farmer input and innovative agricultural practices. Further consultations and campaigns are planned for all crop categories and states during the rabi season.
