In a significant development for Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday praised the decision to hold the upcoming Central Zonal Council meeting in Bastar. The announcement, made during the 25th council session in Varanasi, signifies a pivotal moment for Bastar, opening paths to redefine its regional identity.
Emphasizing the transformative potential of this decision, Sai noted that with robust support from the Central Government, Bastar aims to shed its conflict-ridden past and emerge as a symbol of possibility and progress. The 25th meeting, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressed 19 critical issues, including the speedy implementation of Fast Track Special Courts for rape cases, comprehensive banking in rural areas, and the ERSS-112 system. Shah urged states to eradicate child malnutrition, reduce school dropout rates, and strengthen the cooperative sector, while emphasizing the need to boost Gram Panchayat income, thereby enhancing India's democratic system.
