BRS MLC K Kavitha made a strategic visit to the CPM office in Hyderabad to rally support for the Backward Class movement in Telangana. Speaking to ANI, Kavitha emphasized the importance of the Backward Class bill recently passed in the Telangana assembly and council, now awaiting the President's nod. Local body elections are anticipated by the year's end in Telangana.
K Kavitha appealed to all political parties to unite on this issue, stressing the state government's plans to hold elections without affording reservations—a move she vehemently opposes. "I'm here urging CPM's support for the state's BC movement," she articulated, underscoring the legal milestones of the BC Bill.
Highlighting further action, Kavitha sought CPM's backing for the 'Rail Roko' campaign on July 17, spotlighting the Union Government's need to grasp the Backward Class' critical stance in Telangana. "Our agenda is clear: convey the urgency of the BC movement to both the Central and State governments," Kavitha declared. Passed on March 17, the Telangana Backward Class 2025 Bill seeks increased reservations in education, employment, and local bodies.
