On Sunday, the 'Raj Bhavan Annadhan' scheme was ceremonially introduced at Old Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, with Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar officiating the event. Joining him were Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, who presided over the ceremony.

A notable gesture included a financial donation of Rs 1,20,000 to the Goa Street Providence organization. Governor Arlekar highlighted the literary contributions of Governor Pillai, noting how his writings serve as a portal to new ideas and knowledge, fostering empathy among readers.

Chief Minister Sawant lauded the unique 'Raj Bhavan Annadhan' scheme as a singular initiative in Goa, reflecting Governor Pillai's deep engagement with the state's populace through extensive visits. Sawant also addressed rising kidney disease cases, stressing the importance of diet in managing health, and discussed the eSanjeevani service as a step toward digital health equity.
