President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bareilly on Monday, commencing a significant two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. Upon her arrival, she was welcomed by state and national leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, marking a ceremonious beginning to her engagements.

The President's itinerary includes participation in the 11th convocation ceremony at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Bareilly. The AYUSH University, operational since the 2021-22 academic session, oversees a diversity of programs, strengthening Ayurveda, Unani, and Homoeopathy education. The institution promises to incorporate more disciplines and infrastructure, reflecting a governmental initiative to enrich India's traditional medicine education landscape further.
