Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to lead an Indian delegation on a high-profile diplomatic tour across Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. Her journey is aimed at attending significant international economic forums and strengthening global financial collaborations.
In Seville, Spain, Sitharaman will participate in the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development hosted by the United Nations. She will deliver India's statement and address the International Business Forum Leadership Summit on sustainable development financing, followed by strategic meetings with global counterparts.
The visit continues in Lisbon, Portugal, where bilateral discussions with the Portuguese Finance Minister and engagements with investors and the Indian diaspora are planned. Concluding in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she will represent India at the 10th Annual Meeting of the New Development Bank and the BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, reinforcing India's economic diplomacy.
