At the 'Eruption-2025' festival, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla commended the impressive talent and creativity of students. Hosted by the Government Dental College and Hospital in Shimla, the event featured diverse cultural performances, prompting the Governor to announce a reward of Rs 2 lakh for exceptional participants.
The festival, held in Atal Auditorium at Indira Gandhi Medical College, aims to strengthen educational and cultural ties. Governor Shukla praised the performances for embodying the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' and congratulated organizers for a vibrant affair that merged tradition with academic significance.
Governor Shukla also underscored the urgency of combating drug abuse, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. Cautioning that the state's honest citizens could be vulnerable to narcotics, he called for widespread support in addressing the menace. The Governor additionally highlighted the role of dental science students in advancing healthcare and upholding the college's legacy since 1994.
