Assam CM Inaugurates New Natghar, Urges Continued Prayers for State's Prosperity

In a significant cultural stride, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday inaugurated a newly built Natghar, or prayer house, at the revered Sri Sri Athkhelia Namghar in Jorhat district. The Chief Minister's visit was marked by prayers for the peace, prosperity, and welfare of Assam's populace.
The state's financial intervention played a pivotal role in the Namghar's development, facilitating the construction of necessary infrastructure such as guest accommodations and a facility for cleaning mah-prasad. Reflecting on his 2021 visit, Dr. Sarma highlighted the government's unwavering commitment to the site's enhancement.
Praising the Namghar's management committee and the local MLA, Ajanta Neog, for their proactive role, Dr. Sarma urged devotees to persist in their spiritual support for Assam's growth. He assured that the state would assist any future development plans. His entourage included ministers Atul Bora and Rupesh Gowala, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MLA Biswajit Phukan, and other dignitaries. Post Jorhat, Dr. Sarma also paid homage at Trishul Mandir in Golaghat district, engaging in Vedic rituals.
