The innovative bio-refinery, which involves a collaborative effort between Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) and Finnish partners, Fortum and Chempolis Oy, will mark a milestone in the country's energy sector. The facility utilizes bamboo biomass, aiming to produce fuel-grade ethanol.
This strategically important plant, projected to cost Rs 4,000 crore, is expected to substantially uplift Assam's industrial landscape, laying a pathway for future renewable energy initiatives in the region.
