Hindustan Power Secures Major Solar Project with SJVN

Hindustan Power has announced that it has secured an important contract from state-owned SJVN to develop a 100 megawatt (MW) solar power project, which will include a substantial energy storage component of 200 megawatt-hours (MWh).
This project was awarded through a competitive bidding process, concluding with an e-reverse auction. It forms part of a broader initiative involving 1200 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) power installations, coupled with 600 MW/2400 MWh of energy storage systems, to be implemented across India, according to Hindustan Power's statement.
Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power, emphasized the significance of integrating solar energy with storage technology, promising efficient management of peak power demands and consistent power supply. Hindustan Power continues its role as a major player in India's renewable energy sector.
