The government on Tuesday announced the launch of a new digital module designed for coal block operators to submit exploration proposals online through a streamlined single window clearance system.
This initiative marks a significant step towards the end-to-end digitalization of the coal exploration value chain, developed in collaboration with Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL). The module is set to be inaugurated on July 4 and promises to enhance transparency and efficiency in processing exploration data and approvals, adhering to strict timelines.
Launched in 2021, the single window system simplifies the process for coal mining stakeholders to access various statutory permissions, including those related to mining and environmental clearances, by providing a unified digital platform for obtaining essential approvals needed for increasing coal production in the country.
