In a landmark operation, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has successfully dismantled India's largest darknet drug syndicate, known as 'Ketamelon'. The high-impact operation, codenamed 'MELON', was marked by the seizure of 1,127 LSD blots and 131.66 grams of Ketamine, with a street value of approximately ₹35.12 lakhs.

The operation reached its peak on June 28th, 2025, when 280 LSD blots were intercepted from postal parcels in Cochin. Further investigations led to a house search on the next day, revealing 847 more LSD blots and significant quantities of Ketamine. The NCB also seized digital assets, including a hardware wallet with cryptocurrency valued at ₹70 lakhs, bringing the total asset value to over ₹1 crore.

Classified as India's only Level 4 darknet vendor, 'Ketamelon' had a formidable presence, sourcing drugs globally and shipping them to major Indian cities. The bust underscores NCB's efforts to curb the rise of synthetic drug trafficking, urging citizens to help by calling the confidential National Narcotics Helpline at 1933.
