In a significant gesture that marries history with tribute, Gokul Butail, Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister on Innovation, Digital Technology, and Governance, presented a rare autographed photograph of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. This historic artifact was originally given to Butail by Surya Bose, Netaji's nephew, during Butail's recent visit to Hamburg, Germany.
Butail was in Germany as part of the Indian delegation attending Hamburg India Week, a pivotal event aimed at fortifying Indo-German relations. Speaking at the event, he paid homage to Netaji's lasting impact, underscoring Hamburg's critical role in India's freedom fight; notably, it was in this city that Bose founded the Free India Centre in 1942 during World War II and commissioned the first orchestration of 'Jana Gana Mana' which was later adopted as India's national anthem.
Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh government under Chief Minister Sukhu's direction is making strides in upskilling the youth for overseas employment. The establishment of a dedicated website and mobile application aims to provide comprehensive data on job aspirants, enhancing transparency and secure overseas opportunities. Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation has been appointed as a recruitment agency, tasked with aligning youth skills to global job market needs through certified training agencies.
