Dramatic Night: Police Encounters in Mathura and Firozabad Lead to Arrests
Police in Uttar Pradesh nabbed two miscreants after separate encounters in Mathura and Firozabad. Both suspects were injured in retaliatory fire and are receiving hospital treatment. Firearms and ammunition were recovered from them, and legal proceedings are underway, officials disclosed.

In a sequence of dramatic events, Uttar Pradesh Police engaged in gunfire exchanges in Mathura and Firozabad on Tuesday night, resulting in the arrest of two wanted miscreants. One of the accused was identified as Nikhil, alias Nikki, who was apprehended in Mathura following a tip-off about his presence near Dholi Pyav Railway Ground.
As police reached the scene, Nikhil opened fire, prompting a swift response from law enforcement that resulted in a leg injury for the suspect. Officials reported the recovery of a pistol, alongside empty and live cartridges from Nikhil's possession. He is currently receiving medical treatment at a district hospital.
In a separate incident, Firozabad authorities detained another individual linked to a previous loot case. This suspect, identified as Robin, also engaged in a shootout with police, during which he sustained injuries. Law enforcement recovered a pistol, ammunition, and some cash from Robin, who is now in hospital care as legal actions advance.
