On Tuesday, tensions flared between Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor and the Bihar Police as Kishor led a procession towards the Bihar Assembly. Kishor accused the state government of neglecting the plight of more than 50 lakh children working as laborers. He warned that his party is prepared to take to the streets if needed to demand government action.

In conversation with ANI, Kishor criticized the government, saying, "More than 50 lakh children in Bihar are working in this oppressive heat, largely ignored by their government. To rouse the administration, we must demonstrate our resolve on the streets, irrespective of police intervention." Previously in July, Kishor dismissed the necessity of personal security, asserting that if Bihar's youth can move unprotected, so can he.

Addressing the media in Gopalganj, Kishor reiterated his confidence in public support over security measures. "I have journeyed across Bihar's villages for three years without incident, and I trust the people for my safety," he stated. Kishor also criticized the state's deteriorating law and order, accusing police of bribery and collaboration with illegal mafias, suggesting such corruption hampers governance and security improvements.
