The revered Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain became a hub of spiritual activity on Wednesday as the sacred Bhasma Aarti was performed. As part of the ongoing Shravan observances, numerous devotees congregated in the early hours to partake in the significant spiritual ritual that pays homage to Lord Shiva.

Shravan, deemed one of Hinduism's most sacred months, began on July 11 and will conclude on August 9 this year. The period is characterized by increased devotion, with worshippers flocking to the temple to offer prayers and seek divine blessings from one of the country's 12 Jyotirlingas.

The holy month underscores spiritual practices such as fasting, chanting Shiva mantras, and performing Rudrabhishek, a ritual bathing of the Shiva Lingam. Notably, each Monday is especially dedicated to Lord Shiva, drawing fervent worship. On July 22, devotional singer Lakhbir Singh Lakha visited the temple, reflecting his gratitude for the divine opportunity.
