An FIR has been lodged against four individuals following a firing incident at the New Ambika Kala Kendra in Daund, Pune district, according to police reports. The FIR names Baba Saheb Mandekar, Ganpat Jagtap, Chandrakant Marmik, and an unidentified person as suspects.

The incident, which took place between 10:30 and 11:00 PM during a dance performance, saw the firing allegedly initiated by the brother of a sitting MLA from the ruling party, resulting in injuries to a young woman. The case has garnered attention on social media over the past couple of days.

Politician and MLA Rohit Pawar of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP accused the police of succumbing to political pressure to downplay the incident. He urged law enforcement to act impartially to ensure justice is served, questioning whether political connections will let the accused evade punishment.
