Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, is scheduled to visit Gujarat on July 26 as part of a strategic initiative aimed at revitalizing the Congress party in the state. Amit Chavda, the newly-appointed Gujarat Congress chief, confirmed the visit and stated that Gandhi's trip aligns with the All India Congress Committee's agenda of celebrating 2025 as an organizational year.

Gandhi's itinerary includes participation in a training program in Anand, underscoring the Congress's drive to strengthen its organizational structure. The state Congress is organizing a three-day training camp as part of the larger 'Sangathan Sirjan Abhiyan', a campaign aimed at overhauling the party's framework and introducing accountability measures within District Congress Committees.

The visit is significant following Gandhi's earlier overtures to party workers about removing individuals perceived as aligned with the BJP. In a previous address, he emphasized the need for decisive action to sever connections between loyalists and BJP supporters, advocating for a thorough party revitalization strategy. Amit Chavda highlighted that similar initiatives earlier this year included a national convention in Ahmedabad, marking landmarks in rejuvenating Congress's operations in the state.
