In a decisive move against antisocial behavior, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has instructed police and district authorities to enforce stringent actions against those intimidating citizens. His directive seeks to instill fear of the law in individuals engaging in unlawful activities.
The directive followed the July 2025 State-Level SWAGAT Program, where a rural citizen highlighted issues with miscreants obstructing access to his farmland and assaulting him. The Chief Minister swiftly responded by ordering immediate police protection and action to restore access while penalizing the offenders.
Throughout the SWAGAT event, attended by notable government officials, Patel addressed numerous citizen grievances. These included illegal encroachments, unauthorized public space occupations, and pending administrative updates. The initiative underscores the government's commitment to prompt and effective grievance redressal.
