In a significant move, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unveiled a comprehensive socio-economic survey in New Delhi, emphasizing its extensive scope covering not only caste but also social, economic, educational, and employment aspects.

Reddy urged Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, to champion the cause of OBC reservation bills, which are pending before the President. The survey data reveals that Other Backward Classes (including practicing Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, and Buddhists) make up 56.4% of the state's population.

The survey's meticulous data collection involved household enumeration and detailed socio-economic analysis, receiving notable oversight from multiple government bodies. Reddy criticized the BJP's reluctance for a national caste census, questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's OBC credentials and highlighting Congress's efforts in advocating for comprehensive caste data collection.
