A catastrophic accident struck Jhalawar, Rajasthan, as the roof of a primary school collapsed, resulting in the tragic death of at least three students. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and directed authorities to ensure that the injured receive adequate medical care.
Taking to social media platform X, Sharma lamented, "The collapse of a school roof in Piplodi, Jhalawar, is an extremely sorrowful incident. Appropriate instructions have been issued to ensure the injured children receive the necessary treatment. May God grant peace to the departed souls and strength to their families."
The incident drew reactions from several political leaders. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa extended their sympathies, urging swift recovery for the injured. An investigation is underway following the immediate response from local authorities, including Jhalawar Collector and SP Amit Kumar Budania who secured the disaster site after receiving reports of the collapse.
