In a strong show of support, Assam Minister Atul Bora has backed the state's aggressive eviction drive aimed at removing illegal encroachments in tribal areas. This initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, is deemed crucial for preserving tribal lands. Bora praised Sarma's district visits to oversee the operations, stating, 'We are wholeheartedly supporting this move of the CM.'

The Assam State BJP affirmed that the eviction efforts will persist until all unlawfully occupied lands in Assam are reclaimed. Describing it as more than an administrative measure, the party sees this as a pivotal struggle to protect Assam's very survival. 'Our struggle will not stop until we have accounted for the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Assam movement,' declared BJP Spokesperson Kalyan Gogoi.

Gogoi also criticized Congress, accusing it of betraying Assam through policies that allowed settlements for electoral gains, jeopardizing the state's demographic balance. He lauded the Chief Minister's firm stance in defending Assam's identity and cultural heritage.
